Daphne Lawrence Award

Every year the treasurer presents the Daphne Lawrence Award for fundraising. This is given to the person who has made the greatest contribution during the previous year. This is not necessarily the person who raises the most money.

This year The Daphne Lawrence Cup has been awarded to Tracey Vernon In recognition of her joint fundraising for Diabetes UK Colchester and East Essex Voluntary Group & Help For The Heroes.

Previous winners of the award have been:

2010	Jan And Phil's Store Colchester	In recognition of their continuing support on behalf of the Diabetes UK Colchester and East Essex Voluntary Group.
2009	Peter & Jacki Blackburn	For their numerous fundraising efforts throught the year.
2008	SMS News Sheregate Steps, Colchester	For their continued support.
2007	Carol French	For all the car boots she does during the year and servicing the collection tin at Five Ways Store in Brightlingsea.
2006	Jan and Phil's Store, Colchester	For raising the most money in their collection box.
2005	Gina Seaman	For organising a house to house collection in Elmstead.
